Once resource I would like to share is Army Wife Network. I have been a long time listener to this show. You can listen live or listen to archieved podcasts! They are empowerment for army wifes and they give great tips, resources and support. There is always something new to learn from this show. They have expanded their network recently. You can now go to their website, listen to archievs, view their blog, participate in the message boards and much much more! They have a field problem segmant where you can submit your questions and they’ll answer or find answers for you!!! I suggest everyone head over that way and check them out. I’ve learned so much about moving and what not. The girls that run the show are awesome and it’s a great get a way to just sit down and listen and relax!! Go over and check them out! Searching for Posts

Because DH is prior service, the recruiter will get us a list of Posts that are accepting transfers in and then we get to pick our first duty station. I’ve been researching like crazy. For DH, he doesn’t really care, but for me…. I want to know all the details I can find out ahead of time. Army OneStop has been awesome. You can select an installation and then view floor plans, photos of housing, post maps, local attractions and much more! I’ve been on this website a ton. This way we have a heads up when we get the list. We have checked out all the posts that are “infantry based” since DH is Infantry… So we have an idea of our top 3 and if they are on the list, then we will go from there! Right now it looks like Fort Stewart or Fort Benning are a good choice! But we also are considering Germany if it’s on the list! We’d like to go prior to having any more children so that we can travel and have a good time and enjoy each other before settling down more than we have!

Ah and while DH is at his AT, I am stuck at home packing! Yup this is the 3rd time we’ve moved in the last 2.5 years – and every time, I am the one home packing… alone. I suppose I should get used to it right? Well you should see my house. Boxes are everywhere!! Ek! And cleaning just isn’t my thing… *sigh*

This is my blog! Welcome. I decided to start a blog that travels with me along my journey of being a National Guard wife who has been living in the civilian world, dealing with army issues on my own to living on an Army base and being an active Army wife. We are about two weeks out from transfering over to the Army and I have found a lack of resources for the wife for this transition. To me this is a big transition. I know the army, but moving from friends and family, making new friends, living in a new city… it’s a huge change! I will be blogging along my way sharing resources and tips I find to help me through my jounry!
